These whiskies are aged in a variety of casks, including ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, giving them a range of flavors and aromas. Jura uses locally sourced barley and water from the nearby Loch a'Bhaile-Mhargaidh in its whisky production. The distillery has its own malting floor and still house, allowing for complete control over the production process.
