Millstone
Millstone is a Dutch whisky distillery that was founded in 1975 by father and son team, Frans and Hans van der Heijden, in the town of Baarle-Nassau, Netherlands. The distillery is renowned for their single malt whisky that is aged in oak casks and bottled at cask strength. Millstone produces its whisky using traditional methods, including floor malting the barley and distilling the spirit in copper pot stills. The distillery offers a range of whisky blends, including the Millstone 100 Rye, Millstone 12 Year Old Sherry Cask, and the Millstone 5 Year Old Dutch Single Malt. One interesting fact about Millstone is that it was the first Dutch whisky distillery to be granted a license to distill whisky since the early 19th century. The distillery is also unique in that it produces its whisky using 100% rye malt, which gives the spirit a distinct spiciness and complexity.
