Olt Pulteney is a distillery located in the coastal town of Wick, in the far north-eastern region of Scotland. Founded in 1826, it is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, and it has a long and storied history of producing high-quality single malt Scotch whisky. Olt Pulteney's are known for its distinctive flavour profile, which is often described as maritime or salty, due to the distillery's proximity to the sea. This flavour is created by the use of locally sourced barley, traditional pot stills, and the maturation process in oak casks that have been previously used to mature bourbon, sherry or wine.
