Facts

The name Dream to Dram says everything about this young Fife malt. It captures a long wish finally poured into a glass. Douglas Clement carried bags near St Andrews for years. Visiting golfers kept asking where the nearest distillery was, and none stood close by. So he set out to build one in a quiet corner of Fife. The result is a soft Lowland single malt with real charm. Expect ripe banana and fresh fruit, a lift of pineapple, then warm vanilla and cream. A little spice and cardamom keep it lively. It feels gentle yet full, the work of patient hands. Pour a measure neat and let the orchard notes unfold slowly.

About the Kingsbarns 3 years Dream to Dram

Kingsbarns 3 years Dream to Dram is a single malt whisky made in the Lowland region of Scotland. The Kingsbarns distillery sits near St Andrews, the famous home of golf. Its story began with a caddie named Douglas Clement. He carried bags across the links and fielded the same question again and again. Golfers wanted to know where the nearest distillery was. None stood within easy reach, so he resolved to change that. The distillery took shape inside a restored farm steading that dates back to around 1800. This old Cambo Estate building once stored grain and now makes whisky instead. Kingsbarns draws its water from an aquifer filtered through ancient sandstone below the floor. The barley grows in nearby Fife fields, so the spirit feels rooted in its own soil. Few young malts can claim such a close bond with the land around them. In the glass, Kingsbarns 3 years Dream to Dram leans bright and fruity. Banana and fresh fruit lead the way, with a clear note of pineapple behind them. Lime adds a gentle citrus snap across the palate. Sweet vanilla and cream give it a soft, rounded body. A touch of cardamom and warm spice brings welcome life. Light almond and a malty, grainy thread run quietly underneath the ripe fruit. This is a fine introduction to the Lowland style of Scotland. The whisky stays approachable yet keeps plenty of character for its young age. Woody oak and a faint strawberry sweetness round out the finish. Enjoy Kingsbarns 3 years Dream to Dram neat, poured into a clean glass. Give it a minute to open and the orchard flavours grow clearer. It is a charming pour from a distillery built on one caddie's dream.
