Facts

Jim Beveridge has spent a career coaxing the best out of Scotland's malt and grain distilleries. This blend carries his signature. Malty warmth arrives first, layered with honey and vanilla. A dry spice builds quietly and keeps going long after the glass is empty. The character unfolds slowly: dried fruit and cereal give way to milk chocolate and orange peel. Salted caramel threads through the finish. There is real patience in the making. Pour it neat and give it a moment.

Johnnie Walker

Johnnie Walker is a world-renowned whisky brand with a rich history that dates back to 1820. The Johnnie Walker distillery is located in the town of Kilmarnock, in East Ayrshire, Scotland. The distillery uses a blend of malt and grain whiskies sourced from different regions in Scotland to create their signature blends, including the iconic Johnnie Walker Red Label, Black Label, and Blue Label. The distillery has a team of expert blenders who carefully select and combine different whiskies to create the desired flavour profile for each blend. The whiskies are then matured in oak casks for a minimum of three years.

About the Johnnie Walker 18 years

Johnnie Walker 18 years is a blended Scotch whisky from Scotland, bottled at 40% ABV. The Johnnie Walker blending team built this expression from up to twenty-five different malt and grain whiskies. Each one was aged for at least eighteen years before joining the blend. The result is a layered, age-stated whisky with real depth. On the nose, dried apricot and fresh fruit lead the way. Citrus and pineapple brighten it and give it freshness. Floral notes drift underneath, soft and clean. The palate adds pear and buttery grain, with oily texture giving it body. Vanilla and oak build through the mid-palate. A long, gentle spice carries everything through to the close. Johnnie Walker started as a grocer's shop in Kilmarnock, Scotland, in the early nineteenth century. What began as a small local business grew into one of the most recognised blended Scotch brands in the world. The Kilmarnock roots are gone, but the commitment to careful blending has not changed. Master Blender Jim Beveridge, twice voted Master Blender of the Year, shaped this aged expression. He sourced whiskies from Scotland's main regions. Speyside sweetness, Highland fruit, and a thread of Island smoke all weave through the glass. Johnnie Walker 18 years was formerly known as Platinum Label until a 2017 rebrand. Diageo kept the recipe identical; only the name and packaging changed. The rebrand put the eighteen-year age statement front and centre. Blair Athol, Cardhu, and Glen Elgin are among the distilleries that contribute to the blend. Drink it neat to let the full range of flavours come forward. The finish is long and layered, with hints of salted caramel lasting well after the last sip.
