Glengoyne 12 years

Glengoyne distillery is located in Dumgoyne, near Loch Lomond, Scotland and was founded in 1833. It is unique among Scotch whisky distilleries in that it uses only unpeated malted barley, resulting in a lighter, fruitier flavour profile. The distillery has a reputation for producing high-quality single malt whiskies, which are aged in sherry casks for a minimum of 10 years. Glengoyne offers a range of whiskies, including the Glengoyne 12 Year Old, which has notes of apple, cinnamon, and vanilla, and the Glengoyne 21 Year Old, which is rich and complex with flavours of dark chocolate and dried fruit. Interesting to know about Glengoyne is that it straddles the boundary between the Highlands and the Lowlands of Scotland. The distillery's warehouses are located in the Highlands, while its stills are in the Lowlands, resulting in a unique combination of Highland and Lowland characteristics in its whiskies.
